So much time has passed since my last post, and for that, I’m sorry.
I was NYC apartment shopping. I am happy to share that the search is over and I have found a great place. It was an edifying experience. I’ve grown so much through it. I had to be patient and let God.
Apartments in NYC are incredibly expensive. I currently pay approximately $3,000 for my Brooklyn Heights luxury apartment. This year, I decided that I wanted to save more and spend less on housing. I set out to find a one bedroom apartment not to exceed $1550. There was no science in setting that budget. I just wanted to challenge myself. So, I randomly decided that I would try to find a one bedroom apartment for half the cost of my current rate and I DID IT!!!!!!
I am pretty proud of myself!
The apartment is pet-friendly and has great square footage. It is also located in a good neighborhood. I am STOKED!!!
Now, I am sure some of you New Yorkers are asking yourself, “how is this possible?”
Well, you know those rent-stabilized apartments that you would be blessed to come across??? Consider me blessed. The current tenants have lived there for eight years and secured a much lower rate. I now get to take over the lease and enjoy that low rate. Thank you, Jesus!!!
But, it gets better. The current tenants have left all of their furniture because they are touring for the Hamilton Broadway Show, so I will sell most of my furniture and move light.
Now that I have secured my next place, I will be posting more frequently. Keep a look out for a few upcoming videos.
